Opportunity Corps
The UNeTech Institute is pleased to offer the Opportunity Corps, a ten-month entrepreneurship and mentorship program for folks who experience barriers in entrepreneurship. Current Opportunity Corps programs are for both women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and for Black and African American entrepreneurs.
Funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Opportunity Corps uses the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps inspired curriculum to teach entrepreneurs about startups while matching them with business ideas from the UNeTech incubator. Fellows form mentorship teams to create a business pitch while learning from a large collection of Omaha folks who share their ideas, successes, life lessons, and resources.
Applications are accepted every October. The program runs February through November.
All Opportunity Corps fellows are compensated upon completion of the program.
