Opportunity Corps
The UNeTech Institute is pleased to offer the Opportunity Corps, a seven-month entrepreneurship and mentorship program for folks who experience barriers in entrepreneurship. Current Opportunity Corps programs are for both women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and for Black and African American entrepreneurs.
Opportunity Corps uses the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps inspired curriculum to teach entrepreneurs about startups while matching them with business ideas from the UNeTech incubator. Fellows form mentorship teams to create a business pitch while learning from a large collection of Omaha folks who share their ideas, successes, life lessons, and resources.
Applications are accepted in January. The program runs March through September.
All Opportunity Corps fellows are compensated upon completion of the program.

Opportunity Corps Program Update
Due to public policy shifts and the inability to secure DEI grants from federal or state agencies, the Opportunity Corps program will be on hiatus for one year. We remain deeply committed to empowering women in STEAM and actively seek foundation or private sponsorships to continue this vital work.
If you or your organization are interested in supporting the program’s future, please reach out to us. Together, we can ensure that leadership and entrepreneurial opportunities remain accessible to those who need them most.
