Stephen Hug

Business Advisor

Stephen is a versatile leader who brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership, strategy and product management, and finance.

Since December 2019, Stephen has served as the Entrepreneur in Resident at the University of Nebraska Medical Center UNeTech Institute, a university start up incubator, where he mentors and advises university and community inventors, students, and entrepreneurs in product development and commercialization.

Prior to UNMC, Stephen had a successful career at First Data (now Fiserv), a financial services technology provider serving financial institutions, retailers, and technology providers. Stephen had roles in finance, strategy, product management, and business leadership. In his last role, Stephen served as business leader and product manager responsible for First Data’s Financial Services North America processing business.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Stephen serves on the Board of Directors at Metro Omaha Medical Society Foundation and provides volunteer advisory support to emerging businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits.
